Annual Report 2024– 2025

Education at St. Joseph of Cluny blends tradition with technology and imparts values with vision. Our school aims to build the child into a well-developed individual, well-equipoised in all aspects of mind, body and heart.

Academic Excellence:

The academic prowess of Clunians was proven again this year. It was a blazing success that we have got centum results in both Grade X and XII CBSE Board Exam.

In Class 12, Vaishnavi Adalarasan, Ruvanthika S and Abishana S K emerged as school toppers with total of 483, 482 and 461/500 respectively.

3 students secured centum in Tamil and 1 student scored centum in Computer Science.

In Class 10 CBSE Board Examination, Rufina Therese V secured the first position and with a total of 479/500. Aswetha K and Ruchithra M shared the second position with a total of 477/500 and Nithra S stood third with a total of 473/500.

10 students secured centum in Tamil.

Scholastic Activities:

The school applies modification in the pattern of educational system to meet the challenges of the learners. Periodical Test schemes, special classes, experiential learning, remedial classes for late bloomers, well-equipped science labs, computer labs with internet facility, Hi- Tech classrooms with smart interactive panels, well stacked library to widen their knowledge, imparts the students promising scope on their education. Launch of SPECTRA Coaching Classes for NEET and JEE aspirants is yet another boon for our Clunians.

Training Initiatives:

Teachers underwent CBSE workshops, NEP based training, STEM education, Cyber Security, AI tools and its usage.

Accolades in Sports:

Students participated in Under-14 and Under-17 categories of Volleyball, Football, Silambam in Cuddalore. In the CBSE South Zone Football Tournament held at Hosur, 36 students participated and we are the Runner-Up in Under-14 and Under-17 categories. Our school basketball team won the III Prize in the CM Trophy and I prize in Silambam and Jaslin Riyah Anet secured Second Place in Inline Skating at the National Level.

Holistic development and Leadership:

Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. Investiture ceremony, Inauguration of Clubs, competitions like Olympiad, Spell Bee, Science projects develops responsibility, creativity and emotional intelligence. General proficiency prizes which assess academic and non-academic qualities, motivates young minds to hone skills in co-scholastic areas.

Guides:

Our valiant guides participated in the Jamboree camp at Manaparai (SIPCOT), emphasizing discipline, unity and adventure.

Yoga:

1700 students students of Class VI to XII took part in the International Yoga Day celebrations.

Co-curricular activities:

Students took part enthusiastically in Cuddalore Book fair, Science Fair conducted on National Science day, Road safety Awareness, Anti-drug awareness rally, and Swachh Bharat Campaign.

In connection with Vigilance Awareness week, events such as elocution, drawing, skits, rangoli and stamp desiging competition were held in our school campus.

Celebrations and cultural vibrance:

To inculcate the National spirit and respect for great leaders in the minds of the young, Independence Day and Republic Day were celebrated with flag hoisting, speeches and cultural programmes. Our students participated in NICIL's cultural programs and parade at Bharati stadium. Teachers’ Day was celebrated with student performances and tributes. Religious festivals like Pongal, Diwali and Christmas were celebrated to instill cultural values. Kid’s day was celebrated with games, performances and fun activities.

School-Parent Collaboration:

A well organised PTA meeting was held to encourage school-parent collaboration.

Conclusion:

Our school emphasizes raising not just scholars, but responsible and value-oriented individuals and prepare students for a limitless future.
